Fourteen favourites of 2014

photo 14of2014_zps5b0b8956.jpg photo 14beautyof2014_zps28e09f30.jpgOriginally I wanted to do several 2014 favourites posts, divided into categories but since I didn't have the time and now it's a little late, I thought I would round up the year - beauty wise - by choosing fourteen products that I used continuously throughout the year. This was really difficult as I could have picked a million more things, but I think I have narrowed it down, showcasing both make-up and skincare.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - I think this has been a favourite of mine since the year I first tried it, which is probably around four years ago. I try so many cleansers but always find myself coming back to this one, and I always have to have at least one as a backup.

HealGel Face* - I have raved and raved about this product, it really is the best moisturiser I have ever used. It's just a shame it costs so much as it doesn't last that long. I have a tiny bit of this bottle left and it's going to break my heart when I finally have to throw it away. My skin loves this stuff, honestly and when it's having a tantrum, this is the one thing that calms it down.

COLAB Dry Shampoo - This product was discovered fairly late into 2014, however it really is fantastic. I haven't actually used this scent for long, as I previously had the tropical version, however I threw the can away when it ran out, so had to photograph this one. Each dry shampoo scent smells  so so nice, and unlike many dry shampoos, this product leaves no residue and soaks up the grease perfectly. The only annoying thing I have to say about COLAB is that it doesn't provide as much volume as the likes of Batiste.

Ameliorate Body Lotion* - I don't think I need to say much about this as I have mentioned it so often in the last few posts, however if you have Keratosis Pilaris, you need this in your life.

REN 1 minute flash facial* - This one is really hard to explain. I don't really get how it works in one minute, but it's genius. I love how it makes my skin feel, both moments after washing off, and the next morning. It also smells like chocolate orange. Yum.

Hand Chemistry Retin Oil* - Again, another fairly new product that came later in the year, but this is a little beauty. Retin Oil seems to be the go to thing for sorting out scars and imperfections, as well as something that makes skin super soft. I use this on the tops of my arms and legs and it's super moisturising. I can also see a difference in some of my scars.

Clinique Eye Shadow in Foxier - I am fairly new to the eyeshadow game, it's something I vowed to get into during the last few months of last year. I am getting a bit obsessed with buying eyeshadow now, but one of the first I used was this and it's something I keep using each day. It's a lovely muted brown shade which is great on its own or as a base, and the formula is lovely too.

Revlon Skinlights in Pink - I wore this pretty much every day in 2014. Liquid highlighters are my favourite and I find this one a great dupe for NARS Copacabana. It makes your skin look super dewy and radiant when used over foundation, but also adds a nice subtle glow if used as a primer.

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Stoned Rose* - I am usually one who gravitates towards bright lipstics because I had never found the right 'my lips but better' shade, until this one. The formula of the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are literally amazing. They glide onto the lips but last for so long, and are equally as moisturising. I am now dying to try more of her range, including the Matte Revolution lipsticks.

Clinique Blush Chubby Stick in Amp'd Up Apple* - I think this is the only blush I have used for as long as I can remember. It's the perfect shade for my pale complexion, and I adore the creamy formula as it blends well and stays where I put it.

Rodial Eye Sculpt* - This is a cute, little multi-purpose product. It's ideal as an eye contour/cream shadow, however I have taken to using it on my eyebrows. Its mousse formula is really easy to apply.

Zelens Youth Glow Foundation* - I am a foundation lover. I have about four on the go all the time, however this one has been one of the best discoveries of 2014. It's light and dewy but provides great, buildable coverage and is an overall great product for younger skin.

DHC Eyeliner Pen* - I can't use any other eyeliner now, this has been a firm favourite since 2012. It's precise and pigmented and it's great for the winged liner effect. The only time I would stray from using this, is if I have the Kat Von D eyeliner to try.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer - Best concealer ever. Enough said.
