MAKEUP REVOLUTION ICONIC 3 EYESHADOW PALETTE
I am a confessed eyeshadow newbie, but it's something I have really started to experiment with and take a shining to. I have been long lusting after a Naked palette of some kind, but I want to go into store and do some swatches before taking the plunge. I am still unsure on what palette to try first, but every beauty guru out there is making me need all three. I must say I have never been one that is drawn to pink eyeshadows, but after seeing so many of you adorn rose gold shades and pinky nudes, I have changed my mind. My skin is quite prone to redness, so I guess I always thought pinks would be a no go situation. To keep me going before the big Naked palette purchase, I thought I would try some of those raved about dupe palettes, and MAKEUP REVOLUTION seemed a good place to start. I totally contradicted my opinion of pink eyeshadows and opted for the MAKEUP REVOLUTION Iconic 3 palette, which comprises 12 - rather beautiful - eyeshadows in various pink tones. I must say, I am incredibly impressed with the quality of this for the price (£4) and all shadows out-shone my expectations: they're pretty, pigmented and last a good length of time. What I don't like about cheaper palettes is that the eyshadows don't have names, but I guess that's a pretty small price to pay for such a bargain. The swatches shown identify the shades in L-R order and I think my favourites are definitely the first six, especially the rose gold hues. I am still a wee bit scared of darker shades because of my pale skin, but I am starting to come around to the smokey look, especially in the outer-eye corners. I think I may have to go and pick up Iconic 1 and 2 now...What other good Naked dupes are out there? I have spotted some on Zoeva that I've taken a bit of a fancy to, so maybe I will treat myself to those at some point as well.
