Capsule Make-up Collection

Beauty Blogger Capsule Collection
Capsule Make-up Collection fro Spring Since my life is currently in a number of cardboard boxes, and all my beauty stash pretty much taped up to the brim, I thought I would show you how I am still tackling my beauty regime. I thought it would be incredibly tough not being able to access all of my make-up and that it would get quite boring pretty quickly when using the same thing week in week out, but creating a capsule collection has really helped me along the way.

Instead of foraging through my boxes, I decided I would condense a small number of items down into one make-up bag, which I thought would be more tricky than it actually was. Like any other beauty enthusiast, I have a lot of beauty bits, and sometimes it gets overwhelming every morning deciding which products I would like to paint my face with. Creating a small collection has been a great way to make me trial everything I own. I switch my bag up every week or so, maybe less often if I don't have much on other than work and sometimes I only swap a few things, like mascara or foundation. The majority of times, I switch up the lipstick I am wearing just to spice things up a little, however have whittled my collection down to 10 or so that are suitable for the season. This week my capsule collection is the one above and I thought I would do a quick run through of the products included.

My base (apart from foundation and blush) pretty much stays the same, this week I have been using the GOSH Primer Plus+* for hydration and the NARS All-Day Luminous Weightless Foundation*, which is my 'go-to' for long work days; while the L'OrĂ©al Lumi Magique has been a dark circle saviour when tired in the morning. To contour and highlight I have been sticking with these two Rodial* products, while this week's blush of choice has been the B. Sweet Whipped Blush* in Peach (out in April). For eyes I have been creating a number of looks from the Makeup Revolution Salvation Palette as it can keep my make-up looking different for a number of weeks; as well as using the Benefit Rollerlash* mascara. For my eyebrows, I have been really enjoying this Rodial Eye Sculpt * mousse since I had my eyebrows shaped at Blink (great btw, if you were wondering). This week's lipstick of choice is another from the upcoming B. Sweet collection: shade Orange Bloom*, which is a perfect combo with the blush.

I think limiting myself to such a small range of products has been really interesting, it's helped me find multiple uses for products and encourages me to create a number of different looks each day. Do you like to do the same?

  1. I like switching my makeup around every week to try out different things in my collection! At least when you unpack your makeup, you can start to love it all over again! xx

  2. What lovely makeup picks and it's so refreshing switching up makeup. I also adore the gosh primer myself.
