Primark SS16 Press Day // Fashion, Home & Beauty
This is a photo-heavy post, but I'm not going to apologise simply because of how great Primark's forthcoming SS16 collection is; and I'm sure you're going to want to see (if you haven’t already). Me being me, couldn't disregard many of the photographs that I took, so here we are. This season, it was the homeware that particularly caught my eye; very nostalgic of California in the 70s with hippy-inspired prints, along with a more modish collection with monochromatic accents and shades of white and china blue. I am also really happy with the fact that the marquee lights - which we have all grown to love - are here to stay, along with those super cute old style milk bottle bottles with the funky straws (an Instagrammer’s dream right there), not forgetting candles galore! In regards to fashion, one trend harnesses a strong blue, white and grey colour palette with subtle prints (paisley, flowers - everything you'd expect on a vintage china plate) and stripes, which – let’s be real - are right up my street (the below stripy shirt dress especially!). Ethereal styles with washes of pastels are also prominent, as well as garments fitting for the 90s throwback – think colour punches of orange, red and light-wash denim. Although the spring/summer season couldn't seem further away right now (I’m writing this dressed in ten layers, a blanket scarf and fluffy socks), things are dropping into stores imminently.
