My most used eyeshadow palette - for probably the last year - has been the ZOEVA Cocoa Blend (£15.50) palette, which most of you know I adore. Comprising ten shades, with most on the warm side, this palette can create so many looks; however subtle or dramatic. I've recently discovered that some of these shades are even more pigmented when applied using a damp brush, especially the bronze and gold hues. Wet or not, all shades blend seamlessly and are really easy to work with. I definitely need to pick up some other ZOEVA palettes - do you have any recommendations?
A more recent addition to the line up is the Clinique Pretty Easy Eye Palette (£35)*, which includes eight versatile neutral shades in a selection of different finishes. You have a couple of mattes in there, along with pigmented shimmers, accompanied by two Skinny Stick eyeliners - all you need for the neutral, every day smoky eye.
For more of the evening look, I have been gravitating towards my Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Quad in Vintage Vamp (£38). The palette features four shades (to prime, enhance, smoke and pop) which fit into one of Charlotte's make-up looks. Vintage Vamp is very burgundy/crimson toned with a really gorgeous gold glitter thrown in for the 'eye pop'. I do find these need a little bit more building to get my desired look, but the formula is smooth and the packaging is divine.
Another recent addition is the Bobbi Brown Eye Palette in Rich Caramel (£38)* which I received around Christmas time. I think it formed part of the Sterling Nights Collection. I love palettes where I actually want to use each and every shade, and these five work harmoniously together. These aren't the strongest in terms of pigmentation, but sometimes I don't always want my neutral shades to be too distinctive and the formula is really smooth and blendable. The cream, caramel and brown-hued shades (a mixture of matte, shimmer and glitter) help my eyes look more awake and bring all my make-up together. I tend to use this palette a lot when I am travelling because it's super compact and can be used to create a day or night look - super versatile and one I really do recommend. Bobbi Brown is the Queen of neutrals after all!
