Bath & Body // KORRES Almond Cherry Collection

On paper, a scent uniting cherries and almonds is not something that tantalizes my senses. This is primarily because I cannot stand almonds - eating them or otherwise. Marzipan is also my worst nightmare. Cherries I can handle the scent alone, just not the taste (unless, of course, it is a packet of boiled cherry drop sweets then I can eat a whole packet in one sitting - you feel me?). Despite my initial reaction, and to very much my surprise, I absolutely love the forthcoming KORRES Almond Cherry Bath and Body Collection.

I don't know what it is about this range that affects my nostrils in a way that they haven't been affected before, but it's got the right balance of sweet and nutty. You can pinpoint the fragrant notes of almonds, but it's not as potent as if I were to have a bar of Marzipan shoved under my nasal passage ;) The products smell exactly - and I mean exactly - like a cherry bakewell, maybe a little sweeter. I don't even like cherry bakewells; in fact they're probably the worst pastry ever. That being said, I might grow accustomed to eating them if I reach the ripe old age of 90, because y'know, it's said by the older generation that nothing quite beats a cherry bakewell and a cup of tea, or is that battenberg? Either way, both delicacies are nothing to be desired.

The KORRES Almond Cherry Bath and Body Collection includes the Almond Cherry Showergel (£8)* which comprises 87.2% natural contents. The shower gel also harnesses wheat proteins to provide a protective film on the skin, making it super soft and hydrated. I really like the formula of this as I find some a little stripping on my dry skin. The complimenting Almond Cherry Body Milk (£10)* is enriched with essential skin energy boosting agents, along with a powerful boost of vitamins. I usually opt for a really thick body butter due to having quite dry skin, especially on my arms and legs, however in recent weeks I have been opting for a lighter formula. This is simply because I am lazy and hate spending too long in minimal clothing waiting for it to sink in, quite literally freezing my nips off. I have been using this in between my more treatment moisturiser by Ameliorate and found that it absorbs into the skin really quickly. Not only do I feel silky and soft but I also smell cherry-licious!

The KORRES Almond Cherry Bath and Body Collection will be available in May so keep your eyes peeled. I also have to mention how much I love KORRES for its packaging? Looks so good in my bathroom...
