Make-up Look // Bobbi Brown Sunkissed Pink Eyeshadow Palette
Lately I have been really inspired to ‘shop my stash’ and really delve into some of the gems in my collection. I am often very guilty of sticking to the same type of make-up so recently I decided I would start doing a series of make-up looks that I could showcase on the blog. Today’s make-up look isn’t all that different to my usual every day style, but it’s the perfect look for summer and primarily focuses on a brand new product from the Bobbi Brown Beach Nudes collection: the Bobbi Brown Sunkissed Pink Eyeshadow Quad (£36)*. Again, no surprise, it’s also housed in the dreamiest rose gold packaging that I absolutely adore. I think I may have dribbled a wee bit when I first saw this, and when it landed on my desk I couldn’t stop playing with it. Isn’t it just a beauty? I mean, if you could frame make-up, this would be a worthy choice.
This look is really fresh, really glowy, and would totally suit having a beach as its backdrop. I kept my complexion on the dewier side with the Urban Decay Naked Foundation (£27) and Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer (£7.99), setting my base lightly with the Bourjois Java Rice Powder (£9.99).
Over the years I have realised that dusky tones are the perfect match for pale skin and I am very much drawn to the dusky rose/ dusky mauve hues in every new collection that drops. The Bobbi Brown Beach Nudes Sunkissed Pink palette is simply beautiful, and the perfect match for me (There are three other shade combinations in the range). The palette is on the cooler side and includes four harmonious shades (one matte, two mid-shimmers and one intense shimmer) to create a really pretty, super soft eye look. I started off building the paler shades, running the brown through my crease, and finishing off with the bronze shimmer in the inner corners. The shadows are super soft in formula and create a really natural, ethereal look.
To bring the eye look together I opted for naturally groomed brows, using none other than Benefit’s Gimme Brow (£18.50)* (new packaging not out yet, I pinched it from my boss!) and a light coating of the KIKO Endless Sky Volume Effect Mascara (£12.90)*. To add extra glow and radiance to my face, I used the Urban Decay Beached Bronzer in Sunkissed (£20)* for added warmth, followed by the Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Aura (£19)*. You can read more about my love for that duo in this post, but in this look I dusted the highlight on my cheekbones, brow bone, centre of my forehead, down my nose and lightly on my chin. To inject a bit of colour into my cheeks I used the Zelens Blush (£38)*, which is a really nice dusty apricot shade.
As this look is quite cool in tone, I warmed it up slightly (although only slightly) with my lips. I am absolutely besotted with the ColourPop Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Trap ($6)*, it’s just so easy to wear and is really long lasting.
