Does anyone else feel guilty if they don't partake in the 3 for 2 offers at Boots? I feel like it's an unstated but very assumed rule that you must get three things as opposed to the one you went in for. It does upset me though that it never seems to be mix and match anymore, because really I didn’t need three L’Oréal products, and would have benefited a lot more with a free Bourjois concealer. It would be a given though, that I had to also walk away with the L'Oreal Cushion De Soleil Bronzer (£9.99 intro offer). I think I was more excited over this than the foundation in all honesty, I love a bit of innovation – and although cushion products have been around in foundation form – I have never seen a bronzer version. I've used them both over the last couple of days and am so glad we were introduced; I really can sense a blossoming relationship between these products and my face. No, really. If dewy is your look, gurlllll you need these. The bronzer is particularly light, but also buildable, which is a godsend for us paleys! The foundation is also lovely and light, but buildable. I got the lightest shade and it seems to match me perfectly; I barely feel like I have make-up on when I wear this. It is incredibly dewy and radiant though, so you may want to set parts of your face with powder to avoid over stepping the line into the ‘sweaty and shiny’ zone. The foundation also has SPF in it - SPF 29 actually - which is a very random number. I don’t usually trust SPF in make-up, but for an all-in-one compact, it’s too handy to ignore. My third product was the L'Oréal Paris Lumi Magique Primer (£9.99), which actually is really nice. Super light and illuminating.
I also repurchased the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer (£7.99) for the – no word of a lie – sixth time since it was released [see this post]. If I earned commission for every time I sold this to someone, I’d be able to give up work. Slight over-exaggeration but yeah y’know! I also needed a new COLLECTION Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19), which is probably my 50th tube by now. Another ‘the blogger made me buy it’ purchase was the SLEEK Matte Me Liquid Lipstick (£4.99) in Birthday Suit. This is that typically cliché pinky nude ‘your lips but better’ shade, that I have worn every day since I bought it. Such a great formula for the price too.
Have you picked up anything new from the 'drugstore' lately? P.S. Does anyone else sound like a wanky British person saying drugstore?
